(FSECC) Florida State Employees Charitable Campaign
All federal and state employees have the opportunity to designate Special Olympics Florida as the recipient on their payroll contribution. Seventy-five percent (75%) of all contributions received by the state is distributed to the county.
License Tag
In 1994, Special Olympics Florida adopted the first affinity license tag for our program. The license tag can be purchased by anyone with a registered vehicle in the State of Florida. The additional tag fee of $15 is given to Special Olympics Florida of which, $5 of each tag purchased and/or renewed each year is distributed to respective county programs in which the tag was purchased.
Dial America
Dial America is a magazine subscription ordering campaign that returns 40% of the proceeds received by Special Olympics Florida to county programs. Supporters who would like a portion of their annual magazine purchases contributed to Special Olympics but do not have access to telemarketing representatives can e-mail us a request for a brochure of available magazine titles.
Publix and Proctor & Gamble
For 19 consecutive years, Proctor & Gamble has supported the Special Olympics program. This promotion in conjunction with Publix provide county programs to benefit from a national promotion. Be sure to watch the mailbox the last week of December for your booklet of Proctor & Gamble coupons distributed in the Publishers Clearing House mailing. Publix shoppers can also purchase mini-torches to their county program. Participating county programs receive 75% of funds raised in their stores after expenses.
Cops & Lobsters
Each year during "Lobsterfest," law enforcement Torch Run organizers and Red Lobster team up to raise funds for Special Olympics. Law enforcement "Celebrity Waiters" are introduced at each table by the Red Lobster food servers and the officers assist the servers with water, table setup, etc. Guests are asked to support the event by placing a special tip for Special Olympics in an envelope provided at their table or by adding a contribution to their credit card payment for the food bill.
