Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt."

--Special Olympics Oath

Welcome to the Special Olympics Orange County home page. Special Olympics was created by the Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. Foundation. It is a year-round program of sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with mental retardation, supported by community volunteers and local fund raising. Special Olympics Orange County is authorized and accredited by Special Olympics Florida.

Special Olympics athletes train at participating public and private schools, and city and county recreation facilities. Competition begins at the county level and eligible athletes advance to area, state, national and world competitions.
